What makes New Smyrna Beach one of the 100 best small art towns in America?

ACA Orlando Philharmonic
With the Atlantic Center for the Arts, Arts on Douglas, Artists’ Workshop, Inc., The Hub, and several other galleries on Flagler Avenue on the beachside or in the Canal Street Historic District, New Smyrna Beach has made a name for itself in the art community.
Our Atlantic Center for the Arts is a nonprofit community center, founded by Doris Leeper, featuring artists of all disciplines and levels. Supporting student artists to world renowned professionals and providing them a facility to collaborate and expand their talents along with art awareness.
The Artists’ Workshop, Inc. hosts classes for the aspiring artist in you! Try your hands at a little clay with their sculpting course or learn how to paint sea turtle inspired beach scenes. The Workshop is a popular Wine Walk stop where you can view their current exhibits and enjoy a glass of vino.
The Hub is a new addition to the New Smyrna art community founded by a group of NSB locals. While strolling Canal St. pop in to see their showcase of work from over 80 artists and learn more about their scholarship and mentor programs.
Artists come from all over America and the world to enjoy these facilities and New Smyrna Beach Residents are the beneficiaries of culture we would not otherwise have here in a small town. I am so proud to live in a small art town and have so many artist friends I have sold homes and New Smyrna Beach condos to. They enrich all our lives.
